Baker Tilly Channel Islands announces Senior appointment in Assurance and Advisory Department

Baker Tilly Channel Islands is delighted to announce the appointment of Sandy Cameron as Associate Director. Sandy has joined the Assurance and Advisory team to ensure the firm continually meet the needs of its growing client base in Jersey and Guernsey.

Sandy graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2008 and is a member of the Institute of Scottish Accountants (ICAS) having completed the exams in 2012 with all first time passes. Sandy has since gone on to study courses in project management and in 2018 obtained completion certification for both Agile Project Management and Certified Scrum Master. Prior to joining Baker Tilly Channel Islands Sandy worked for a ‘big 4’ firm in Jersey.

Sandy has diverse experience with clients reporting under UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP in different sectors including; financial services (including private equity and debt, real estate, investment management, infrastructure, fund administration and banking), manufacturing, technology, housing associations, public sector/donor funded charities and schools, and agriculture.  He also has extensive experience in advisory including, agreed upon procedures (including those akin to a forensic investigation, historical verification and vendor due diligence in the Channel Islands) and in conducting internal control audits.

Sandy’s position at Baker Tilly Channel Islands sees him take the lead on a number of client relationships and key strategic projects ensuring he will play an active role in the growth and future direction of the business.  Sandy will also work with other members of the leadership team on projects such as recruitment campaigns to continue to attract the talented and dynamic staff that thrive in the environment and culture at Baker Tilly Channel Islands.
