Barbra Chigwedu

Barbra Chigwedu joined Baker Tilly Channel Islands in June 2024, bringing over a decade of specialised audit and accounting experience. 

A Chartered Accountant since 2025 and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), Barbra began her career in 2012 as a trainee accountant at PwC in South Africa. She moved to PwC Jersey in 2015 as a Senior Associate and was later promoted to Manager, where she gained valuable experience managing diverse client needs. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Barbra spent three years as an Audit Manager at KPMG, further refining her skills experience.  

Barbra holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. With a strong grasp of IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial analysis, Barbra excels in supporting clients with rigorous attention to detail and industry insight.  

Barbra manages a diverse portfolio of clients spanning various sectors, including private equity and real estate and investment management. 

As part of our Assurance and Advisory team, Barbra manages a diverse client portfolio, drawing on her deep understanding of industry standards and commitment to client excellence. 

Outside of work, Barbra enjoys playing netball and loves spending time with her husband and family.
