Edoabasi Nkanga
Edoabasi Nkanga is an Audit Manager in the Assurance and Advisory team at Baker Tilly Channel Islands, having joined the firm in September 2025.Â
He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Uyo. Edoabasi trained and worked within leading international accounting firms across Nigeria and the Channel Islands, building over ten years’ experience in audit and assurance across complex and regulated environments.Â
Edoabasi specialises in alternative investment structures, including private equity, debt funds, real estate funds, and fund of funds, and brings significant expertise in the insurance sector. His work covers IFRS and other global reporting environments, with deep exposure to valuation processes, fund operations, insurance regulatory frameworks, and complex financial reporting requirements. Edoabasi works closely with fund administrators, insurance managers, and finance teams to support high‑quality reporting, operational robustness, and strong governance across structures.Â
At manager level, Edoabasi leads audit engagements, oversees risk assessment and technical delivery, while supporting team development and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. His international experience across jurisdictions and regulatory regimes brings valuable perspective to Baker Tilly Channel Islands’ global client base.Â
Outside of work, Edoabasi enjoys spending time with his family, singing, playing the recorder, and contributing to his local church community in Jersey.Â
