Baker Tilly Channel Islands Limited is seeking a dynamic and motivated Director to spearhead the development of our Guernsey office and embark on a journey toward equity ownership.
Role overview
As a Director of Baker Tilly Channel Islands and Head of Guernsey for Assurance and Advisory, you will play a pivotal role in physically establishing and growing our Guernsey office. You will be responsible for setting up operations, building a talented team, and developing strong client relationships to compliment those we already have. Reporting directly to the Channel Islands Managing Director, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the firm while maintaining our high standards of service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the setup and establishment of the Guernsey office, including recruitment, infrastructure setup, marketing and regulatory compliance.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of assurance and advisory professionals.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to attract and retain clients, fostering long-term relationships.
- Provide expert advice to clients on complex financial and regulatory matters, delivering exceptional service and insights.
- Be a key part of the Channel Islands senior leadership team to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in accounting (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with a strong background in Assurance and Advisory and the ability to gain a practising certificate.
- Extensive experience in a senior-level role within a reputable professional services firm.
- Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and team leadership.
- Exceptional knowledge of Guernsey's regulatory framework and business landscape.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
