Baker Tilly Channel Islands sponsors ‘Miles That Matter 2025 Fun Run’
Baker Tilly Channel Islands is proud to be sponsoring this year’s Miles That Matter event, a community event founded by our colleague, Wendy Freitas, in memory of her youngest sister, Emily.
The event builds on the success of last year’s #MilesForEmily challenge, which Wendy completed to raise funds for the Jersey Children’s Charity. Emily, who passed away in 2021 at the age of three, was born with multiple disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Cystic Fibrosis, and Epilepsy, and spent much of her life receiving care in Robin Ward.
Open to all, Miles That Matter 2025 offers a 5K or 10K route for runners and walkers of all abilities, with every step helping to support the Jersey Children’s Charity. The charity provides vital medical equipment, treatment, and emotional support for children and families affected by illness, working closely with Robin Ward to make a difference where it matters most.
Ewan Spraggon, Managing Director at Baker Tilly Channel Islands, said “We’re delighted to be supporting Wendy and the Miles That Matter event, which embodies values that are close to our hearts, community spirit, resilience, and giving back. We look forward to seeing people of all ages take part and help raise funds for such an important cause.”
Miles That Matter 2025 takes place later on 6th September 2025 and is open to everyone, whether you’re looking to run, walk, or simply get active for a great cause.
